Mass & straight tree felling with site clearing

Properly cared-for and maintained trees can be an asset to any garden, enhancing the value of your home or commercial property. Decaying or dead trees however, those damaged by storms or contaminated by mould, bacteria or pests may pose a threat to people and surrounding structures. Even healthy trees that are obstructing a view, interfering with electrical wires, or have grown too large for their environment, may require complete removal where no alternative is available.

ABA Tree Fellers will assess the tree and plan an effective solution for the removal of any size or type of tree, employing a range of safe, controlled techniques for the felling even in confined spaces. From the first assessment to site clean-up, we ensure a hassle-free, professional and fully-supervised service with minimal interruption to occupied offices or noise-sensitive environments.

Stump Removal

Stump Removal

Destumping or stump grinding

Once a tree is felled, the remaining tree stump may be unsightly or its invasive roots may have caused damage to surrounding pavements, building foundations or underground pipes. Removing the stump will also avoid potential regrowth, contamination problems and rot.

Stump grinding and destumping are environmentally friendly processes whereby the stump is ground below surface level to ensure both the stump bole and root system are destroyed to prevent regrowth. The area is then back-filled to leave minimal impact on the site. In certain cases, complete stump and root removal can be offered depending on the size of the stump and spread of its root system.

Planned care & maintenance

Tree maintenance is imperative for any home or business owner and proper care and planning will ensure the longevity of a healthy garden and landscape. Ask our experienced team for advice on the best tree care solution to maximise the health, stimulate growth and maintain the aesthetic of each tree or plant according to its species, shape, size, condition and environment.

A few examples of tree maintenance include: Planned cutting, topping and trimming ensures the height and width of a tree is limited to the space available, allowing for the tree to reach maturity without causing damage to its surrounds.

Crown lifting is the removal of lower branches in cases where they are obstructing passing traffic or pedestrians, are interfering with electric fencing or brushing up against walls and surrounding buildings. These branches are cut back either to the stem, or outside of the branch collar to allow for natural regrowth to occur.

Crown reduction or thinning involves the removal of selective inner branches at the top of the tree without changing its natural shape. This process is ideal for reducing the density of the tree’s crown, increasing airflow, reducing the risk of fungal infections and allowing for more sunlight to pass through its canopy.

Careful pruning of selected dead or diseased branches in trees and shrubs also stimulates healthy regrowth and cosmetic branch removal allows for the overall shape and aesthetic to be guided and controlled. Depending on the type of species, pruning should ideally be done during the plant’s dormant season such as in winter or at the beginning of spring.
